How to to stop mobile phones from rendering unicode as emojis?

Hello, currently I have a theme, as seen here. I used a Unicode symbol, ☼, within this theme for the header/logo part.

 #header h1 a:before{ content: "SC☼PE"; color: #fee; text-shadow: 0px 2px 1px #100; 

It looks great on desktop, but go on mobile and it converts into an emoji, leading to this mess.

Is there some way to make mobile phones not render Unicode as an emoji?
